BS in Computer Science and Sociology
The BS in Computer Science and Sociology is a combined major (Khoury College and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities) that will prepare you with a strong programming foundation and a deep understanding of the intersection of technology and society. You will analyze how people use evolving technologies to communicate and share culture throughout history and in the modern world. When you graduate, you will have the practical and theoretical skills needed to address today’s complex social and cultural issues.

In this program, you’ll learn to:
- Apply design principles in the construction of software systems of varying complexity.
- Use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for effective and secure computing practice.
- Apply mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, and computer science theory in the modeling and design of computer-based systems in a way that demonstrates comprehension of the tradeoffs involved in design choices.
